So here’s the thing, Boris is quite fed up of Covid, and I’m guessing he has got some major international trip’s coming up hence the full scrap of the red countries.
And although we are free to go, a lot of the countries have put a block on us entering their borders!
Seriously. We Brits? Us Brits are being blocked? We Brits are being stigmatised!. Ain’t that a joke? Boris has really ruined our reputation, and made us a laughing stock to the World.
Its actually Funny and hilarious and a little upsetting at the same time.
Yet all is not lost, I got you guys, even if Boris hasn’t. And here is a list of 15 International countries we can potentially visit in 2022, along with guidelines of vaccinations, test’s and any restriction issues.
Shall we start with Europe?
My heart belongs in Istanbul and was I happy to see this come off the red list. The hustle, the bustle, the beautiful mosques, The culture and halal food everywhere. I call Istanbul ‘The Halalified London’, and you guys know I love London.
The Travel Lowdown: Either fully vaccinated OR you will need negative PCR before flying. PCR needs to be done 72 hours before arrival. All travellers need to complete the health registration form (Click here). Random PCR testing is done on arrival to country.
Masks are mandatory and they are extremely strict with this. Young or old you have to wear a mask- no special treatments given. You can be fined on the spot if you don’t wear a mask. Best to keep PCR paperwork on hand. (although most places are not checking)
I’ve been to Greece once. Never again. We struggled for Halal food, and racism is so apparent. Yup. Never again. I appreciate that was my experience though.

Cant figure this place out- its popular with Brits, Arabs and Italians, its an all rounder. Halal food spots can be easily found, and loads of Shisha spots too! With palaces, fortresses, churches and mosques. Its quite a place

The cool cold fresh air is what brings people to Switzerland, the beautiful lakes, and the sky scraping glaciers, the glacier Express railway taking you through scenic places. The museums, galleries, cathedral. Almost a Fairy tale.

Face masks are compulsory everywhere and paper proof of negative PCR, or vaccination when entering places. Some restrictions on Lock down where certain places close early but that’s individual based and not determined by country laws.
Portugal is always a vibe, a coffee shop with a bolo nata on every corner! Could it get better! The clash of cultures and still very much a religious country. The beautiful churches, and mosques. Lisbon also offers loads of halal spots.

Shall we do Caribbean next?
White Sandy beaches, waterfalls straight out of magazines, acres and acres of desert. This place is definitely in my hit list for one day, especially because now they have a very small community of muslim’s, and so a growing number of businesses are now serving halal food.

The white beaches again (I’m getting quite travel sick. Me thinks), the bluest seas, luxury hotels, and the roar of the crowds at the cricket match at the Kensington Oval. (Did I really say that?! I did! I live with 3 men. How else am I going to get them on the plane?)

Its all about the Caribbean at the moment, and Antigua is the best of it, with little pocket island of beaches plotted along its coastlines, its always up there in tourism talk. Antigua has loads of Halal places for food, and some Hotels are also non- alcohol serving.

I think that’s enough of the Caribbean, all the surrounding areas, St Lucia, Caicos ISland etc have very similar requirements.
Lets move on shall we? To America.
Before Trump I actually always wanted to visit America and particularly the US. Now not so much. I think both Boris and Trump have really given our homes a bad name. But for those of you that are interested.
The Travel Lowdown: All travellers need to show proof of vaccination. ( NHS proof of vaccination is sufficient). Proof of a negative test on Lateral is needed before boarding flight for all passengers aged 2 and above. Non vaccinated will need to show a negative lateral test and quarantine on arrival, they also need to take further tests on day 3/5. Under 18 non- vaccinated do not need to quarantine.
All the state’s have different measures to control Covid, some states are strict whilst others are not too bothered. This is something you will need to check as this changes all the time. To be on the safe side, have your masks ready and keep a copy of NHS covid pass, or negative Lateral at hand at all times.
To me Mexico almost doesn’t feel like America at all. It’s a completely different vibe, not that I have been ever, but its probably Netflix that’s given me that impression. The cobblestone towns, the sandy floors, the huyie dusky air, rain forest covered buildings. You guys know which series I’m talking about right?
The Travel Lowdown- Nothing needed! Whether your vaccinated or not they don’t really care! How wonderful! Their may be random temperature checks on arrival, but that’s all. Have a great time Folks!
No Lock down, No masks, No restriction. Mexico doesn’t believe in Covid.
There’s something almost magical about Canada isn’t there? Or is it just me? Or it Might just be that I have a little liking to Justin Trudeau.
The Travel Lowdown: No Quarantine for fully vaccinated. All travellers need to do PCR within 72 hours of flying and show a negative result. Aged 17 and under non- vaccinated do not need to Quarantine, For 17 and above quarantine applies. Vaccination details need to be uploaded here.
Masks are mandatory but severity fluctuates, best to keep it at hand, and keep proof of vaccination and or negative PCR results as they are random spot checks.
Lets get on to the Middle East now,
An absolute dream, I would want to retire here for sure. White sand beaches, Tropical palm trees, blue skies, blue seas, colourful mocktails, Sea food galore and may I add halal food at every corner! Yes definitely a dream.
The Travel Low down: Vaccinated OR not- they don’t care as long as you have a negative PCR taken 96 hours before departing. This applies to all from age 1 upwards.
Not many restrictions in place, always keep masks and certificate of negative PCR in hand just in case.
Sri Lanka offers best of All worlds. The sandy beaches with a cross of modern high tech cities and then wildlife spotting in its jungle areas. The best combination in holiday picking, and not to mention halal food everywhere.
The Travel Lowdown: All travellers need a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to flying and a health declaration form (click here) This will cost just under £10 per person. Fully vaccinated do not need to take any further tests on arrival. non- vaccinated will need to take PCR on day 2.
Lock down restrictions are not in place- just masks are mandatory everywhere.
I mean I don’t really need to put this one down right? Everyone is already there right? Or been, or is going. Its like being away from home, but taking everyone from home with you.

Africa in itself is quite risky being 3rd world with poverty, the stats are non calculable, so overall its not somewhere I will be running into a hurry, having said that South Africa has to be a safe spot. So much to see and do that ill need to do a few hundred blog post’s to cover it.
