Ines- The New Instagrammable hotspot in Birmingham

ines birmingham

Well honestly it came round quite fast, the wedding that is…. not mine guys- me is happily married 19 years strong- going onto forever… The baby brothers- the baby brother who is more of an adult than a baby at 30 but Yes! Its happening! Covid delayed us for a year and a half, but now it feels too soon.

With the unpredictable nature of Covid its still going to be a small affair- but under 100 small, not 30 small…. so its still a good old knees up with the nearest and dearest kinda party…. and that means we need outfits and so a trip up to Birmingham for outfits for the wedding day brought us to this beautiful place. Ines.

On entrance we were told it was bookings only and if we wanted a table it was a 45-50 minute wait.

Afwana wanted a table. So we waited because it was ever so pretty. Like ever so pretty. And Afwana likes pretty places.

So we sat down and she started praying…. and like literally …. within 15 minutes we were shown to a table! (I have to note down what she prayed, its magic for sure)

We breathed a sigh of relief, because seriously after a day of shopping, having to wait a further 50 minutes for food felt absurd, especially because we had the Mamabears with us.

Do you want to have a look at why Afwana wanted to eat at Ines?

Have a look:

But it wasn’t just the food that was pretty- Look at the drinks!

For drinks we had ‘Strawberry Mojito’ and ‘The Blue Lagoon’ and the Mamabears went for Water, because this was way too adventurous for them

What we Ordered:

  • Samosa Chaat
  • Chicken Satay
  • Lamb Shank Biryani
  • Chilli Chicken Satay
  • Hanging Chicken Skewers

…….and the show stopper, the dry ice pouring over our food. I mean how pretty is that?!

Okay Okay so we know the place was beautiful, and we know that the food looks pretty- and now the taste….. well I would come again that’s for sure.

Maybe I would avoid the Samosa Chaat- (literally it was one Punjabi samosa cut in half- and it needed a little more toppings for sure) and the hanging skewers were the most picturesque but lacked in moistness- but everything else was spot on.
