Finding the right foundation is really the biggest bane of my life, along with finding the right pair of jeans. And once you have found it, you hold on for dear life, for as long as you live. Am I right or am I right?

I have been using my Dior foundation for almost a decade now, I’m not really ready to give it up yet, but Huda brought out something new, The Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation and Primer. And everyone is going Insane. I really mean it. Insane!

So I had to give it a try. Like with most foundations, I usually buy one and then go back to my Dior afterwards. Nothing like comfort right? But Honestly, this one is a game changer.

Shall we dive straight in?

Why the Easy Blur foundation?

Lets get into the science bit (say it like Jennifer Aniston on the Loreal advert)

Huda Beauty, known for its innovative and high-quality products, has launched the Easy Blur Foundation, designed to provide a smooth, airbrushed finish without the heavy feel of traditional foundations. This foundation is all about enhancing your natural beauty while offering buildable coverage that can take you from a casual day out to a glamorous evening look.

One of the standout features of the Easy Blur Foundation is its lightweight formula. Infused with skin-loving ingredients, it glides on effortlessly, making it perfect for everyday wear. The blurring technology helps to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines, giving your skin that coveted soft-focus effect. Whether you’re dealing with uneven texture or just want to achieve that Instagram-ready glow, this foundation has got you covered.

Now that, that part is over, lets get back to me now!

I actually went into Boots with my loyal, and trustworthy Dior. I needed to make sure the shade was just right.

Although I found one, that looked almost the same, (300N Latte) the lovely sales assistant recommended a different shade to me to try out, as she said it may suit me better. and honestly after trying it out, she was right.

My shade she chose for me was 255B Apple Pie.

Huda beauty actually offers 29 shades ensuring no one person is spared. You are sure to find that perfect shade.

Well this caused a little stir didn’t it? So many different opinions and thought’s. We don’t really want to focus on others, I’ll just give you mine. I love all things pretty and fancy, and here Huda has missed a step. But all in all- does it matter? The first thing I did is throw the boxes away!

So yes a pretty box would have been nice, but for all of the 2 seconds I needed to remove the product (clutter free girl here).

The actual products here, hmmmm… urm… could be better too. But I guess Huda is trying to appeal to everyone, and this does just that. Its simple, Its effective, Its plain and its got her branding on it. It does what its soposed to do for her brand market (which does include me).

You can find the foundation online or at any boots store for £32

In terms of pricing, she has kept it at middle ground. Not too cheap and not too expensive. Its affordable.

How to get the most out of your Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

1. Prep Your Skin: Start with a clean, moisturized face. A good primer can also enhance the foundation’s longevity and smoothness. I have always loved Bobby Browns Primer, its my go to for the special days I need my foundation to stay on longer. But Huda has also got the primer in her blur range, and so I added it to the basket, no harm in trying it.

The primer is thick and it smells great, I loved it on my skin. I’m not sure at this point whether I’ll be sticking to this or go back to my Bobbi brown, but lets try it out a couple more times.

2. Use the Right Tools: Whether you prefer a beauty sponge or a foundation brush, choose a tool that works best for you. A damp sponge can help achieve a more natural finish, while a brush can provide fuller coverage. Having done my research before buying, I have learnt that a little of this foundation can go a long way. I literally started off with a pea sized amount of my hand. I prefer to use on my hand and then dot around my face, rather than pour all over. It saves a lot of Foundation.

It also saves you from over applying as when you pour out more, you tend to use more.

3. Build It Up: Depending on what I need it for and how I want to use it, This Foundation is great as its buildable, so start with a small amount and gradually add more where needed. This allows you to customize your coverage without looking cakey. For my normal work day, I use minimal amount, and for the going out days I could literally keep adding on to get that final finished look.

4. Set It Right: I didn’t actually buy the setting powder as I struggle with dry skin, but if you struggle with oily skin or if you’re heading out for a long day, a light dusting of translucent powder can help set your foundation and keep the shine at bay.

My honest Verdict

I had my doubts and reservations on this regardless of the hype. I have used Huda Foundation before, and I had found it way too Cakey and heavy. It worked if you live in Dubai, all the ladies there are heavily beautified up. But in the UK, we are a little more reserved and the Huda Foundation was kept for the brides and the glamorous Muas.

When I first poured this onto my hand, I found it to be really lightweight which surprised me, it was very flowey, which made me feel like maybe I would need more. But I found that was not the case at all. it just flowed on, and honestly really does feel skin like.

I found that it is so good, that I’ve actually gone to work without the need to use a concealer.

Huda Beauty is a real Queen! And lets not forget A Pro-Palestinian Queen at that! Thanks for this I found my new foundation.
