If it were up to me, then Elemis really would be the Product Pick of the Month every Month, or everyday even, but that’d be unfair to all the other brands. I have spoken of my love of Elemis products before here, but no matter what I try, it just gets better and better and this time better had to be awarded ‘The Product Pick of the Month’ and it goes to the Elemis Rose Cleansing Balm.
When it comes to Elemis, its 10/10 for packaging. Always. Wouldn’t you agree? The Subtle Simplest of packaging yet it speaks so much volume and lust to the eye.
I actually bought the Elemis Rose Cleansing Balm in a beauty box by Qvc. You can read about all of the products here.
I think you guys already know that I love all things Rose by now too (just not actual roses. hehe). So obviously this took my breath away with just the intoxicating scent on opening.
The traditional English Garden Rose scent on application really freshens me up, and gives me all the spa feels. (Oh when will Lock down end. I need a Spa Day!).
And the balm itself , a small amount goes a long way. (Which is important because Elemis is on the higher end of the market). And because of the intoxicating scent I love working it into my skin.
Although it looks thick, it automatically turns into a oily substance when touching skin, making it altogether easier to use. Because of this I like to lather it in, it feels great on the skin, and it is so good, it’s creamy, oily and feels oh so wonderful.
Whether you have a full face of makeup or just light makeup- it leaves the skin feeling so wonderfully clean.
How to use it:
I use a small amount and I lather it onto my face and then I use my fingers to massage it in (because it feels so therapeutic). I do this for a few minutes because I love the scent (have I mentioned that before?).
To cleanse away I start with a little water all over the face and a lather it around so that it waters down in consistency. And finally I use a warm wet cloth to take it all away. Leaving it refreshed and clean and soft and supple.
I mean we all know that when it comes to skincare Elemis probably holds the number one spot and the original Elemis Pro Collagen is its iconic best seller. And if a no.1 seller is doing the same thing fragranced in Rose, well It says my name all over it! I do need to advise that the scent is quite heavy and I have found that others that have used it have found it to be quite overbearing. So keep in mind your own preference if you are considering buying it.
I absolutely love the smell of fresh roses in a tub (not in a vase at home please!).
I have never used a balm for cleansing before. But now I have, I don’t think that I can go back to foams and spray on’s. There is something about a balm that makes me look forward to the end of the day when I can remove the dirt, grimes and toxins of the day whilst giving myself a well deserved face massage.
The Elemis Rose Cleansing Balm usually costs around £44 for 100 ml, so yup it is at the higher end of the market, but I love it as a treat for myself and a pick me up on the days I need it the most. If you are not a fan of Rose or scented cleansers then Elemis have now launched a Naked version of the Cleansing Balm, might need to pick that up next.
Liked the product Pick of the months, here is the one from last month. Enjoy
What do you think of rose scented skincare products? is it a yes or a no for you?
